GCSE's
Posted on 23 Aug 2008 by Lauren
I got my GCSE results on Thursday, and Im really proud of them. I never expected to do aswell as I did, so I have been quite worried for the past few weeks, and all for no reason lol.
Maths: I got a B, which is a good grade but ufortunatly it was high enough to take it on next year like I was looking to do. I needed an A and I was 10 marks off so I am a little disappointed.
Double-Award Science: CC which for me is really good. I really did think I was going to fail as I have never been good at Chemistry and Physics, and I really struggled with it. My coursework and Biology pulled me up. So Im really proud of it.
French: C, I was happy with this grade because I knew I wasnt going to get higher than this. I wasnt sure whether or not I was going to pass, so I am happy.
Geography: B, I normally get C's in my geography, and I did struggle a little bit with this, so I was happy with it.
English Language: B. Im happy with this grade because I cant ever remember getting higher than a C in my english exams before.
English Literature: A. I was so shocked at this grade, I didnt do alot of revision for Literature because I wanted to concentrate on other subjects, yet this was my highest grade.
IT: Another A. I was pretty sure I was going to get this grade so I wasnt surprised or anything, but I am still proud of it.
Drama: Never before have I got higher than a C in Drama (exams and homeworks) and I didnt expect to this time so I was proud, especially as only 1 person got an A* and there where no A's.
RE (short): B, I was a little disappointed in this grade because I revised for this and at trials I got an A* without revising. I knew I hadnt done as well this time, as the exam focused more on the topics I found a little more difficult, but I stiff expected to get an A.
Overall Im really happy with my grades. I had to go in yesterday to sort out my subjects, because I had to drop Biology and Maths because I didnt get the right grades. I decided to take either RE or English Literature. I ended up getting into RE, which I was happy about because it was the subject I wanted to do more. So for my A-Levels, Im doing RE, IT and Health and Social Care. I would have done a 4th A-Level, but there was nothing else I wanted to do that would fit in so I don't really mind.
Bye (PS, Ive added an Adsense Ad)
How to Improve (and pics)
Posted on 19 Aug 2008 by Lauren
Im wondering how to improve the site because right now it pretty much sucks. I've been focusing lately on following as many tutorials as possible to improve my photoshop skills. But not colouring tutorials, proper tutorials that teach you how to make a vactor iphone etc. I managed to make a really cool IPhone 3G the other day, and Im focusing on making more. Their all helping me develop my photoshop skills. Im also getting better at using the pen tool, so when I get really good at it, I can make some cute brushes.
I dont know what else to do though. I want to apply for affiliates at a few more site, and if I can get a few more affiliates, maybe Ill get more hits? I dunno. Im also going to go into proper commenting mode. Im going to be trying to visit some more sites and leaving comments etc and hopefully more hits.
Another thing, Im thinking of adding Adsence ads to the site. Just need to apply. Hopefully that will get me some extra cash
Anyway, Im away now. See ya
